The Ferrari Formula 1 team had a memorable race weekend during the Australian Grand Prix. The team achieved a 1-2 finish and clearly had a better car than the Red Bull RB20. However, despite this, it is believed that Ferrari needs an upgrade in order to continue competing with the Austrian team.
The Red Bull Formula 1 team, led by , had a surprisingly disappointing race at the Albert Park F1 track. Nevertheless, they are still the front-runners at the top of the grid.
Carlos Sainz recognizes this fact and therefore expects his team to introduce a significant upgrade for the SF-24.
The 29-year-old driver has made it clear that unless Ferrari improves the SF-24, he and his teammate will struggle to keep up with the strong Red Bulls. Sainz also mentioned the difficulties Ferrari faced in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to provide some context.
While Carlos Sainz anticipates an upgrade from Ferrari in the near future, he recently discussed the challenges he faced in Australia. He managed to overtake the 26-year-old driver after the first few laps.

After the third round of the 2024 F1 season, there is only a four-point difference between Ferrari and Red Bull in the Constructors Championship.
