Billy Amick, a third baseman from Tennessee, Class of 2024
His Accomplishments: 4-for-13 (.307), 4 runs, 5 runs batted in, 2 home runs, 1 triple, 2 walks, 3 strikeouts
While much of the discussion surrounding the transfer portal leading up to the season revolved around Chase Burns leaving Knoxville, the Volunteers acquired a highly talented hitter in Billy Amick, a transfer from Clemson. He immediately showcased his potential impact last weekend, hitting two home runs and adding a triple, consistently making solid contact with the ball. Amick’s strength and bat speed were evident throughout the series, and he demonstrated the raw power to hit a ball out of a major league park to the opposite field. Additionally, he displayed strong defensive skills at the hot corner. With the presence of Amick, Christian Moore, and Blake Burke, the Tennessee lineup possesses an abundance of offensive firepower.
