After participating in more than 90 races in LMP1 and LMP2 cars at Le Mans and in the American and Asian Le Mans Series, driver Chris McMurray had retired from racing. However, his passion for the sport was reignited when he had the opportunity to test drive a Radical at Apex Motor Club in Phoenix in 2020. From that moment on, McMurray was hooked and decided to compete locally each month and enter the Radical North America Cup races with the goal of winning the championship.
McMurray’s return to racing a Radical has also inspired him to get back behind the wheel of an LMP2 car. He recently achieved a victory at the 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi, where he shared the win with Freddie Tomlinson and Toby Sowery. This accomplishment has only fueled McMurray’s desire to continue pursuing his racing career.
To give fans an inside look into the 2024 Radical Cup North America, McMurray will be hosting a series called “A Radical Journey.” This series will consist of several short episodes that not only introduce the Radical Cup and its participants, but also provide insights into the world of racing with a Radical or any other type of car.
