Dale Coyne Racing has made a significant driver announcement ahead of the upcoming NTT IndyCar Series season. The team has taken a unique approach by revealing three different drivers for their two cars throughout the 17-race season. This announcement comes just days before the opening practice session is scheduled to begin.
Jack Harvey, who was released from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing at the end of last season, will be driving the #18 Honda for the majority of the season. He will participate in 14 of the races, including the season opener in St. Petersburg this weekend. Harvey is grateful for the opportunity to join Dale Coyne Racing and is excited to continue his journey in the NTT IndyCar Series.
Nolan Siegel, a talented 19-year-old, will take over the #18 car for the remaining rounds of the 2024 calendar. While he will still compete in a full season in IndyNXT with HMD Motorsports, Siegel will make his IndyCar debut at four selected rounds. The highlight of his season will be racing in the prestigious Indianapolis 500. Siegel is thrilled to be joining Dale Coyne Racing and is ready to make the most of this opportunity.
Dale Coyne Racing will also field a second car in partnership with Rick Ware Racing. Colin Braun, a skilled sportscar driver, will have the opportunity to compete in the open-wheel series. Currently, Braun has only been confirmed for the St. Petersburg and The Thermal Club races, with the driver lineup for the rest of the season yet to be determined.
Both Braun and Harvey will hit the track in their newly assigned cars for the first time this season in St. Petersburg, Florida. The anticipation is high as they prepare to tackle the challenging streets of the city.
