Premier League teams are preparing to enter the race for Arouna Sangante, a talented player from Le Havre. It has been revealed that both West Ham and Nottingham Forest made attempts to sign the 21-year-old during the recent transfer window, but their offers were rejected by the Ligue 1 club. Le Havre was only interested in a permanent transfer, while the offers received were for a potential loan agreement. Sangante has gained attention from top European clubs due to his impressive performances since breaking into the senior team. The Senegalese player, who can also play as a right-back, will continue his development in France before a possible big-money move later this year. It was reported in November 2023 that Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan are all monitoring Sangante. He currently serves as the captain of Le Havre, making him the youngest captain in the French top division. His contract with the club, which was renewed in 2023, will expire in June 2026. Sangante has made 17 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing to his team’s promotion in the 2022-23 campaign. West Ham already has several options for the center-back position, including Konstantinos Mavropanos, Nayef Aguerd, and Kurt Zouma.
