The design for Ferrari AF Corse’s pair of official 499P Hypercars has been unveiled ahead of the start of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Qatar next month. Although the primary color of both cars remains the iconic Ferrari red, there are noticeable variations compared to the 499Ps that competed in the 2023 season. The sidepods and dorsal fin now feature more prominent Giallo Modena yellow elements, paying homage to the 1973 Ferrari 312 PB. This model was the most recent Ferrari prototype to participate in the world championship before the introduction of the 499P in the FIA WEC last year.
For the 2024 season, the driver lineups for the team remain unchanged. The No. 50 car will continue to be shared by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen, while the Le Mans-winning trio of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi will drive the No. 51 car.
In addition to the two factory cars, AF Corse will also introduce a third 499P, which is privately funded. The livery for this car has not been revealed yet. Recently, during a test session at Yas Marina before the Asian Le Mans Series finale, the third 499P completed two full days of running alongside the factory No. 50 car, both adorned in plain red.
