Lando Norris had a difficult time during the 2024 Saudi Arabian GP in a tabloid format. The McLaren F1 driver did not perform well in yesterday’s race, finishing in eighth place and facing scrutiny for a potential jump start.
Before the race began, Norris was seen moving slightly in his grid box and then stopping his MCL38 just before the lights went out. Despite reporting the incident on his team radio, no action was taken against him.
The FIA has explained why Norris was not penalized for the alleged jump start. According to their statement, the transponder on Norris’ car did not indicate a jump start, leading to no further action. Norris himself believes that he did not gain any advantage from the incident.
Although Norris avoided penalties for the jump start, he had a challenging day overall. His teammate, [teammate’s name], had a much better performance, finishing in fourth place. Norris struggled in his MCL38 and failed to make a significant impact.
The focus now shifts to the upcoming 2024 Australian Grand Prix, as the Saudi Arabian GP becomes a thing of the past. After a disappointing outing in Jeddah, Norris will be hoping for a better result in Melbourne.
