At the beginning of February, Red Bull initiated an independent investigation after a female staff member accused Christian Horner of inappropriate and controlling behavior. Horner vehemently denied all allegations, and the investigation, conducted by an external law firm, took longer than expected to conclude. Eventually, Red Bull cleared Horner of any wrongdoing.
Recently, after the team had exonerated their principal through a thorough investigation, an anonymous sender dropped a mail to numerous journalists and influential figures in the world of Formula 1. What surprised everyone even more was that the sender had access to the email addresses of journalists with permanent passes for the upcoming season. The leaked evidence caused a sensation, leaving everyone astonished. When questioned about the incident, a Red Bull advisor expressed shock at the leak.
According to media reports, the advisor had been unaware of the leaked evidence until now. While this leaked information is causing further trouble, those involved in the sport are calling for greater transparency. There is a possibility of another investigation being launched in light of this leaked information, which only adds to Red Bull’s difficulties.
During the initial investigation, Horner was subjected to an 8-hour interrogation, making the process arduous. Recently, Horner was cleared and the team was preparing to make an announcement when the evidence was leaked by an anonymous sender. This news spread like wildfire, shocking the entire Formula 1 community.
Horner may find himself in hot water once again, as the mail was also received by members of the FIA. As of now, Red Bull has declined to comment further on the matter, stating that it is a personal issue between Horner and the other party involved, and it would be inappropriate to discuss it publicly.
