Ian Machado Garry has set his sights on causing Geoff Neal to crumble. Garry, who boasts an impressive record of 13 wins and no losses in the MMA, including 6 wins in the UFC, is scheduled to face Neal at UFC 298. This highly anticipated event will be broadcasted on pay-per-view, ESPN, and ESPN+ on February 17th in Anaheim, California.
Fresh off a dominant victory over the seasoned veteran Neil Magny at UFC 292, Garry aims to replicate his outstanding performance against the formidable Neal. In an Instagram post, Garry confidently stated, “I will force him to surrender. He will decide when he’s had enough. I plan to strike him in the body and provoke that reaction, just like dogs do when they defecate and seek protection from their owners. They instinctively look at their owners for safety during such vulnerable moments, don’t they?”
Originally, Garry was slated to face Neal at UFC 292, but due to Neal’s withdrawal, Garry ended up fighting Magny instead. Neal’s last fight was a submission defeat to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 285. However, prior to that loss, Neal secured consecutive victories over Santiago Ponzinibbio and delivered a knockout blow to Vicente Luque. It’s worth noting that Neal is the only fighter to have triumphed over Belal Muhammad, who has an impressive undefeated streak in his last 10 fights.
