Reliever Jason Adam was not successful in his arbitration case against the Rays, according to a report by Mark Feinsand of MLB.com (X link). Instead of the $3.25MM he and his representatives were hoping for, Adam will earn $2.7MM for the upcoming season.
This marks the second consecutive offseason that Adam and the Rays have gone to arbitration. Last year, the right-hander came out on top, securing a salary of $1.775MM compared to the club’s proposed salary of $1.55MM. However, this time around, the outcome was different, resulting in a raise of just under $1MM for Adam compared to last year.
Stay tuned for further updates.
