Lando Norris has had a difficult start to the 2024 F1 season.
McLaren is experiencing a decent beginning to the 2024 F1 season. Throughout the winter break, the team worked tirelessly to implement necessary changes to their MCL38. They are certainly observing improved outcomes this season, as last year, they encountered numerous challenges with the car in the first half of the campaign.
Lando Norris did achieve several podium finishes during the latter part of the season, but the British driver never felt truly comfortable in their MCL60. This season, the team has made minor adjustments to their vehicle. However, the modifications made in MCL38 still contain elements that do not align with Norris’s preferences.
When speaking to the media about this matter, Norris expressed his expectation that the team will make the required alterations to the car in order for him to achieve better results. Nevertheless, the team is encountering certain difficulties in addressing specific issues. While Norris is not completely satisfied with the car, he believes that McLaren has made significant progress and is moving in the right direction.
In previous seasons and even in the current one, Red Bull has established their dominance. In 2023, Red Bull emerged victorious in both the constructors championship and the driver’s championship. With three championships already secured, their aim is to secure a fourth.
Despite their best efforts, many teams are struggling to bridge the gap. Some pundits in the paddock are of the opinion that Red Bull should slow down, but Norris, who is a close friend of Verstappen, disagrees.
In his conversation with the media on this matter, he further added that it would be unjust to expect Red Bull and its drivers to slow down. Norris believes that if someone is performing exceptionally well in the championship, it signifies that they are putting in more effort and employing strategic thinking to achieve strong results. The ongoing 2024 F1 season still has 22 races remaining.
