Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc of Ferrari is searching for a solution to his struggles in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix. Despite being less than six-tenths of a second behind the pole position time set by Max Verstappen, Leclerc ended up in eighth place, four positions behind his teammate Carlos Sainz. Leclerc had previously achieved eight consecutive front-row appearances, but he attributed his poor performance to a rare occurrence that happens once in a season. He expressed his disappointment with the result and mentioned that he tried various approaches to improve his performance but was unsuccessful. Despite not being able to pinpoint the exact reason for his deficit, Leclerc remains hopeful that Ferrari’s stronger race pace will help him improve his position in the upcoming race.
