Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing competed in the Formula 1 Miami Sprint on May 4, 2024. The race took place in Miami, Florida, USA, as part of the Formula 1 World Championship, Rd 6. Charles Leclerc, a driver for Ferrari, believes that he could have put more pressure on Verstappen if he had been close enough to activate the Drag Reduction System (DRS). Leclerc started the race in second position and used newer Medium tires to pull alongside Verstappen. However, Verstappen defended his position and prevented Leclerc from getting within one second to activate the DRS. Leclerc believes that if he had the DRS, he could have challenged Verstappen more effectively. Despite this, he managed to maintain his position and finish in second place ahead of Sergio Perez in the other Red Bull car.
