Charles Leclerc of Monaco driving for Ferrari had a disappointing performance at the Chinese Grand Prix in Formula 1. Leclerc was perplexed by the lack of pace on the Hard tyre, which caused Ferrari to lose half a second per lap compared to McLaren. Despite starting in sixth and seventh positions, Leclerc remained hopeful of a podium finish. However, he struggled to keep up with McLaren’s Lando Norris and was eventually overtaken by Red Bull’s Sergio Perez, finishing in fourth place, 10 seconds behind the lead McLaren. Both Leclerc and Norris were surprised by Ferrari’s lack of competitiveness and the significant difference in pace on the Hard tyre. Leclerc hopes that upcoming upgrades will improve Ferrari’s performance for the rest of the season.
