Günther acknowledges the tough competition and the need to continuously evolve. He expresses his determination to make the most of their resources and achieve positive outcomes.
While there may be some focus on developing next year’s car, Günther stresses that their primary objective is to excel in Season 10. He believes that a successful performance this year will have long-term benefits. Günther acknowledges the current good points but highlights the importance of finishing the season on a positive note, with big points at stake in the upcoming four weekends.

Jake Hughes – NEOM McLaren
Regarding the team’s expectations for Berlin:
“If you offered me points in both races, and Taylor Barnard scoring points in one or two races, we would be satisfied with that outcome.
“Of course, we desire more – although the past few races have been challenging, the underlying pace has been strong, giving us the potential to contend for podium finishes.
“Looking back at last year, this track was probably our weakest in terms of one-lap performance. Hopefully, we have made improvements and can now fight for a top-six position.”
On collaborating with rookie stand-in teammate, reserve driver Taylor Barnard:
“I am highly impressed with Taylor as a young racing driver.
“He is inquisitive and eager to learn. His dedication to this sport is evident, which is essential for success. He possesses the necessary skills and talent for a promising career.
“He performed admirably in Monaco, avoiding any mishaps and finishing with energy. He will aim to build on that performance, and I anticipate that I will be able to gain some insights from his data after free practice.
“He is a quick and talented young individual, and he is adapting to the car swiftly. Therefore, I expect him to be quite competitive in terms of one-lap pace this weekend.”
Pascal Wehrlein – Tag Heuer Porsche
Regarding the added pressure of a home race for both the driver and the team:
“Honestly, we simply hope to perform well for various reasons, primarily for the championship.
“As this is our home race, we have numerous guests, friends, family, and sponsors in attendance. It is important for us to excel in front of them. Thus, we have a general desire to perform well, but it is particularly significant for our home race.”
On the improved qualifying performance of the car this year:
“I believe we are in a better position compared to last year, particularly in the second half of the season. However, this track and the asphalt have been a source of uncertainty for us since our best position here has been sixth place. We have not been competitive at this circuit. This year, I am hopeful that we can reverse this trend.
“I am optimistic and have a positive feeling about it. Let’s see how things unfold.”
Jake Dennis – Andretti
Regarding whether the circuit will suit the Andretti car, which has struggled in qualifying:
“I would love to combine our qualifying and race pace, but if that is not possible, it is not the end of the world. We can push forward and make progress during the race.
“These peloton races are where we excel, so we are hopeful for a strong performance.
“It will be more challenging compared to Misano, but we can strive to avoid any trouble and make advancements during the race.”
On Andretti’s renewal of its powertrain partnership with Porsche through Season 12:
“It is an unquestionably positive decision – they have provided me with a powertrain capable of winning the championship. Currently, Pascal is leading the championship, and I am in third place, making it difficult to deny that we have the best powertrain. Therefore, continuing this partnership is crucial for me, the team, and future results.”
