Noah Gragson achieved his best-ever P6 finish in the Cup race on Sunday.
Jimmie Johnson, Noah Gragson, and Tony Stewart had an eventful rookie season when Gragson made his full-time debut in the Cup. However, he struggled to find speed in the Legacy MC car and failed to achieve any notable finishes. Gragson was eventually removed from the team due to insensitive social media activity.
Ahead of the 2024 season, Gragson was signed by Stewart Hass Racing to replace another driver in the No:10 Ford team. After participating in four races with SHR, Gragson explained why he had difficulty performing in the Legacy MC. He attributed his struggles to the slow cars, which forced him to take risks and led to more mistakes. Now with SHR, Gragson has a faster car and has learned to be more patient.
Although Gragson had a slow start to his 2024 season at Mercedes, he has made significant progress in recent weeks. This progress culminated in his impressive P6 finish at Las Vegas, which marked his first top-10 finish with SHR. Gragson expressed his joy and celebrated the result, giving credit to his team’s support and hard work. He believes that this is just the beginning of better days for him.
