The Professional Fighters League (PFL) will be hosting its regular season in Las Vegas at the same time as the UFC’s biggest event of the year. Taking place one night before the momentous UFC 300 at T-Mobile Arena, the PFL will hold an event on April 12 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in the renowned “Sin City.” The card will feature talented fighters in the light heavyweight and lightweight divisions.
The announcement came on Tuesday as the PFL unveiled the first half of its 2024 regular season schedule. PFL CEO Peter Murray expressed his excitement about the upcoming season, stating, “The PFL regular season, known for being the toughest test in MMA, just got even more challenging with the inclusion of stars from Bellator.”
The season will kick off on April 4 at the Boeing Center in San Antonio, showcasing heavyweight fighters and introducing women’s flyweights to the season format. Following this, the April 12 event in Las Vegas will take place, and the first half of the regular season will conclude on April 19 at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The Chicago event will mark the start of the welterweight and featherweight divisions.
As per tradition since its establishment in 2018, fighters in the regular season will compete for a $1 million grand prize awarded to each division’s champion. This will be determined through two regular season bouts and playoffs. Specific matchups for the upcoming events were not disclosed during the announcement. Fans can catch all three events on ESPN, ESPN+, and ESPN Deportes.
