It’s a new week of racing and a fresh circuit on the FIA Formula E schedule. Pascal Wehrlein from Tag Heuer Porsche comes to Italy with a slim two-point lead in the Drivers’ Championship, ahead of Nick Cassidy from Jaguar TCS Racing. However, Max Gunther from Maserati MSG Racing, who won the last race in Tokyo, and Oliver Rowland, who came in second, are hot on their heels, making for an exciting chase.
CIRCUIT
Misano is a purpose-built track that MotoGP fans are familiar with. It features 14 corners and spans a length of 3.381 km. Similar to the race in Sao Paulo two races ago, the circuit is designed for a peloton-style race. The first and last sectors of the track are the slowest, but the majority of the track is fast, with long straights and fast, sweeping corners in the second sector. Attack Mode can be activated at the hairpin turn 12.

NEWS OF NOTE
F1 stars praise FE
During last weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix, the top three finishers shared their thoughts on Formula E with the media. Max Verstappen, while stating that he would not personally like to drive in FE in the future, acknowledged the high level of competition due to the talented drivers in the series. He also expressed his enjoyment in watching the races, citing the excitement brought by the series’ talented drivers.
Verstappen also made a lighthearted comment about the Tokyo street circuit, jokingly questioning the decision to include a jump in the track and suggesting that the person who approved it must have been intoxicated.
Sergio Perez, another driver from Red Bull, echoed Verstappen’s sentiments, appreciating the opportunity that Formula E provides for drivers who may not be able to compete in Formula 1 or other series. He praised the series as a platform for drivers to earn a living and pursue their passion.
Carlos Sainz from Ferrari also spoke highly of the championship, mentioning his friendships with drivers who he has competed against in various categories. He expressed his happiness that Formula E exists and praised the quality of racing in the series.
