Red Bull, the owner of Red Bull Racing, has initiated an independent inquiry into allegations of inappropriate conduct by Christian Horner, the team principal. The energy drinks company became aware of the accusations and is currently conducting an investigation. Despite this, Horner will continue to carry out his responsibilities as team principal without interruption. A spokesperson for Red Bull stated, “Following the recent allegations, the company has launched an independent investigation. We take these matters very seriously, and the investigation will be concluded as soon as possible. We are unable to provide further comments at this time.”
According to Dutch publication De Telegraaf, the investigation centers around Horner’s behavior towards a specific member of Red Bull Racing. Horner vehemently denies these allegations. Since Red Bull’s entry into Formula 1 as a full constructor in 2005, the 50-year-old has held the position of team principal. During his tenure, the team has secured six constructors’ championships and seven drivers’ championships, including three consecutive drivers’ titles for Max Verstappen.
