Ricky Tiedemann arrived at his second major league pre-season training camp with great enthusiasm to apply the knowledge gained from a tumultuous 2023 season.
The 21-year-old left-handed pitcher stated that the shoulder and biceps problems that restricted him to only 44 innings in the minor leagues last year, along with an additional 18 innings in the Arizona Fall League, provided valuable insights into his personal routines and habits throughout the year.
A part of this includes reducing his workload between starts, rather than increasing it, a technique Tiedemann observed from seasoned players during his time at the Blue Jays’ camp last year.
