Red Bull has not yet revealed their 2024 Formula 1 vehicle, which will be driven by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Former Haas star Romain Grosjean believes that RB’s F1 2024 car has given a “good indication” of what the new Red Bull RB20 will look like. Red Bull’s junior team showcased their 2024 car in Las Vegas recently, with the Faenza-based team rebranded for the upcoming season. The changes at the former AlphaTauri squad go beyond just a name change, as the team has formed closer ties with the main Red Bull outfit – the reigning Constructors’ Champions and winners of almost every race last season – for 2024. The new partnership is similar to Haas’s relationship with Ferrari, which allows the American team to use as many Ferrari-built parts as permitted under F1 regulations. As a result, the revamped RB team is expected to have a significantly improved season. Grosjean, who spent five seasons with Haas from 2016 to 2020, believes that the deeper technical partnership is evident in the design of the new RB car and offers clear hints about the potential design of the RB20. Grosjean stated that there are many similarities between the Red Bull from 2023 and the RB from 2024, particularly in the front wing, sidepods, back end of the car, and rear wing. The Faenza team has taken inspiration from Red Bull and utilized similar components, such as the gearbox and engine. The front wing design has been slightly altered, while the nose has remained similar. The suspension has transitioned from pushrod to pullrod, which is a characteristic of Red Bull. The sidepod entry and rear wing have been completely redesigned. Overall, the new RB car draws inspiration from Red Bull’s successful design from the previous year. Red Bull will be the last team to launch their 2024 car next week, with the RB20 set to be unveiled on Thursday.
