The announcement of the collaboration between the two companies was made on Wednesday. According to the agreement, which did not disclose any financial details, the HP logo will be featured on Ferrari’s Formula One cars for the first time during the Miami Grand Prix on May 3-5. During this event, the team will compete under the name Scuderia Ferrari HP, as stated in a joint statement by the companies.
To commemorate this partnership, a special edition Ferrari car livery has been designed exclusively for the Miami Grand Prix.
Since the expiration of its previous partnership with Philip Morris’s Mission Winnow at the end of the 2021 season, Ferrari has not had a title sponsor associated with its racing team.
As part of the deal, Ferrari will have access to HP technology and services, including adaptive PCs and devices, collaboration products and services, and printing capabilities.
“The integration of HP’s high-performance products and services… will enhance the training precision and optimize strategic decision-making for Scuderia Ferrari HP and the other racing teams of the Prancing Horse, both on and off the track,” the statement said.
Ferrari and HP have also expressed their commitment to accelerating sustainable innovation and working together to expand educational initiatives within their teams and communities.
According to a press release by Ferrari, representatives from both organizations will be present for the unveiling of the Scuderia Ferrari HP livery before the Miami Grand Prix. This unique edition has been specifically designed for the event.
The press release also mentioned that Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna, Scuderia Ferrari HP’s Team Principal Fred Vasseur, drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, and HP CEO Enrique Lores will be in attendance.
Vigna commented on the new partnership, stating, “Our founder instilled in us the constant desire to progress. This drives us to innovate on the road and on the track, as well as our commitment to a sustainable future, from carbon neutrality to educating the younger generation. In HP, we have found a partner who shares these values. We are excited to start our collaboration and face new opportunities and challenges together.”
HP CEO Enrique Lores added, “With technology, performance, and exceptional craftsmanship driving the future, the partnership between HP and Ferrari is a natural fit. Both brands have rich histories that have stood the test of time. Through this unique collaboration, we also have the opportunity to reach new audiences, drive business growth, and create lasting impact for our shared clients and communities. Together, we will leverage the global stage of racing to accelerate sustainable innovation.”
