According to a recent report from Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are willing to sell Joe Rodon if their desired value is met. The London club is open to offloading the Welsh defender, but only if the price is right. Rodon, who spent last season on loan at Leeds United, has been performing exceptionally well this season. The 26-year-old has been a crucial player for Daniel Farke’s team, starting in 27 Championship matches and playing a vital role in their promotion push.
Leeds United, who are keen on securing Rodon’s services permanently, have reportedly made plans to retain the 6’3″ center-back beyond this season. However, acquiring Rodon will come at a considerable cost. Football Insider states that Spurs have set their asking price for the player in the range of £10-15 million.
Spurs are hopeful of recouping at least the amount they paid Swansea City for Rodon in 2020. It will be a challenge for them to avoid any price reductions. Leeds United are well aware that Rodon is not in Ange Postecoglou’s plans, and with only 18 months remaining on his contract, it would be unwise for the Championship side not to make a significantly lower counteroffer.
