Merab Dvalishvili wasted no time in attempting to recruit Eric Albarracin after Henry Cejudo made the decision to part ways with him. Cejudo, who is set to face Dvalishvili in a crucial bantamweight clash at UFC 298, revealed during the UFC’s “Countdown” preview show that he was reducing the size of his team and Albarracin was no longer part of it. Dvalishvili, known for his comedic skits, saw an opportunity and playfully tried to entice Albarracin to join his camp. Albarracin, who has been working with Cejudo since the beginning of his MMA career, could only laugh at the proposition.
Albarracin and Cejudo have had a longstanding partnership, but now Cejudo is looking to bounce back after a narrow defeat to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288. He has even hinted at the possibility of retirement if he doesn’t come out victorious against Dvalishvili. On the other hand, Dvalishvili is currently riding a nine-fight winning streak.
