The F1 drivers have been engaging in various activities off the track since arriving in Melbourne. One of the drivers, Alex Albon from the Williams team, recently spent time with Australia’s basketball Paralympics team. During his interaction with them, Albon showed great interest in learning their way of playing basketball. He even attempted to make baskets from a sitting position, but hilariously failed in comparison to the Paralympic professionals. Despite enjoying his time in Melbourne, Albon is aware of the uncertain situation in the F1 drivers market, as many drivers’ contracts are set to expire at the end of the 2024 season. Although Albon has expressed his contentment with Williams, he remains open to better opportunities. His performance as a racing driver has significantly improved since joining the Williams team, and he played a crucial role in the team’s seventh-place finish in the 2023 season. However, he has yet to score points in the current campaign.
