Denny Hamlin’s daughters frequently accompany their father to the race track during the season. Denny Hamlin, along with his children Molly and Taylor, can be seen in a photo shared on social media. NASCAR recently released a docu-series called NASCAR: Full Speed, which quickly became popular in the USA and Canada. The series consists of five episodes that focus on a selected group of drivers and the 2023 playoff. Viewers are treated to exclusive content, including glimpses into the lives of the racers and their families.
Joe Gibbs Racing is a significant contributor to the series. They opened their doors to Netflix, allowing the producers to capture unique moments involving the Hamlin family. One such moment was shared on social media, showing Hamlin engaged in a heartwarming conversation with his daughters, Taylor and Molly. In the video, Molly asks her father how many races he has competed in NASCAR. Hamlin responds that he has done 600 races, to which Molly exclaims, “That’s too many!” Hamlin then reveals that he has won 50 races and asks his daughters how many they think he should have won. Both Molly and Taylor agree that he should have won 100 races.
The conversation then shifts to Hamlin discussing another driver’s race win that day, and Molly struggles to remember the name of the 2021 Cup champion. Taylor comes to her sister’s aid and helps her recall the names. The docu-series showcases many more heartwarming moments featuring Hamlin and his daughters.
Throughout the history of the NASCAR Cup Series, only two drivers have achieved over 100 race wins. The top spot belongs to a seven-time Cup champion, who has an impressive 200 wins. In second place is another driver with 105 race wins. Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson share the record for the most wins in the modern era, each with 93 and 83 wins, respectively. Among active full-time drivers, one driver stands out with 63 race wins. Denny Hamlin currently ranks 13th on the all-time Cup race wins list with 51 wins.
Despite not winning a championship, Hamlin holds the record for the most Cup race wins among non-championship-winning drivers. He surpassed Mark Martin’s record in this regard. Notably, three of Hamlin’s wins came at the Daytona 500, establishing him as one of the most successful drivers in crown jewel races.
