Nyck de Vries from Mahindra Racing will be joining Toyota Gazoo Racing in hopes of achieving success in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Toyota Gazoo Racing, the winners of the previous five Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships, have available spots for an FE driver in both of their cars. de Vries will be driving the #7 car, while Sebastien Buemi from Envision Racing will be driving the #8 car.
Hertz Team Jota has recruited Norman Nato from Avalanche Andretti, and BMW M Team WRT has given one seat to Robin Frijns, who is Buemi’s teammate from Envision.
Representing Italy, Edoardo Mortara from Mahindra Racing will be racing for Lamborghini Iron Lynx. Nico Muller from ABT Cupra will be joining Peugeot TotalEnergies’ #93 car, along with Jean-Eric Vergne from DS Penske, who is a two-time FE Champion. Stoffel Vandoorne, the Series 8 Champion and Vergne’s teammate, will be filling a part of the French outfit’s #94 challenger.
Additionally, there are seven former FE drivers participating in the series, including Antonio Giovanazzi, who aims to build on his Le Mans 24 Hours victory with Ferrari last year as he continues with the Prancing Horse’s hypercar project.
