Carlos Sainz Jr of Spain raced for Ferrari SF-24 on the 6th of April 2024. This was during the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, as part of the Formula 1 World Championship. It was the qualifying day for the event.
Once again, Max Verstappen from Red Bull Racing took the lead in the final practice session of the Japanese Grand Prix. He achieved a remarkable time of 1:29.563.
Following closely behind the world champion was his teammate Sergio Perez, securing the second position. Meanwhile, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, both driving for Mercedes, claimed the third and fourth spots respectively.
Fernando Alonso, with his upgraded AMR23, managed to secure the fourth position. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri took the sixth and eighth positions, with Carlos Sainz from Ferrari splitting the McLaren pair.
Yuki Tsunoda, competing on his home soil, impressed by securing the ninth position. Charles Leclerc completed the top 10 positions in the race.
