Former professional golfer John Daly was captured singing a Bob Dylan song while performing at Kid Rock’s bar in Nashville. Videos of the performance quickly went viral on social media. This is not surprising considering Daly’s reputation for enjoying a few drinks. He has often been seen with a drink in hand and a pack of cigarettes by his side. Daly is known for his expertise in drinking irresponsibly and has even shared his advice on how to cure a hangover: “Drink the same stuff you had the night before.”
Although Daly’s rendition of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” at the Kid Rock bar didn’t end the night, some might have wished it did. As the night went on, Daly’s voice became increasingly off-key, giving off a relatable karaoke experience. This is not the first time we’ve seen Daly perform live. A few years ago, he went viral after joining Hootie and the Blowfish on stage during one of their annual ‘Monday after the Masters’ events. It seems that the Bob Dylan classic is a popular choice in his setlist.
Daly seems to be thoroughly enjoying life after his golf career, although he never strays too far from the sport. We can expect to see him at the Augusta Hooters during Master’s week in April.
