The San Francisco 49ers possess a greater amount of offensive talent than any other team in the league.
General Manager John Lynch and Head Coach Kyle Shanahan have assembled a roster that resembles a video game, equipped with an abundance of resources to conquer any opponent on any given night.
However, it is evident that they do not possess the advantage at the quarterback position when compared to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brock Purdy lacks the physical attributes, athleticism, and flashy plays that players like Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, let alone Patrick Mahomes, possess.
Nevertheless, Purdy has consistently demonstrated his ability to win, a feat that many quarterbacks cannot claim.
This is the opinion of NFL analyst Craig Carton, who regards Purdy as a winner.
During The Carton Show, Carton likened Purdy to Eli Manning, who was not the league’s top quarterback during his prime but managed to secure two Super Bowl victories against Tom Brady and the formidable New England Patriots.
Purdy may not currently be a superstar in any sense of the word.
However, he excels in the finer aspects of the game and is ideally suited for Shanahan’s inventive and innovative offensive scheme.
The Niners did not require a superstar to reach the Super Bowl.
They needed someone who could make crucial plays when necessary, and Purdy delivered at an exceptional level when the season was on the line.
Regrettably, he may never receive the recognition he deserves due to his exceptional supporting cast, but he will undoubtedly shoulder all the blame.
