Antonio Brown, the former NFL wide receiver, has been instructed to issue a payment of $1 million to a well-known jewelry designer who claims that Brown borrowed valuable items but never returned them or compensated for them. This information comes from TMZ, a popular entertainment news outlet.
The lawsuit against Brown was filed by Jean Louis Shuki, the creator of Shuki International, in April of last year. According to the legal documents, Shuki provided Brown with a collection of his exclusive diamond finger accessories, which are estimated to be worth $500k per finger. Shuki believed that Brown would either pay for the items or return them.
In addition to the diamond fingers, Shuki also entrusted Brown with a rose gold black diamond finger set, a white gold chain, and a ring. Shuki’s intention was for Brown to either give these items back or compensate for them. This report has been shared by TMZ.
It is worth noting that Brown has faced financial difficulties in the past. After retiring from professional football and making a memorable exit from Metlife Stadium, where he displayed a peace sign and ran off the field, Brown has encountered issues with money. He has allegedly been late on child support payments to his ex-partner and has fallen behind on payments to his former Arena Football League team, the Albany Empire. As a result, the National Arena League terminated the team’s agreement due to their failure to fulfill their financial obligations.
Since 2021, Brown has not played in the NFL. He began his football career when he was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, Brown also played for the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has achieved significant success, being selected to the Pro Bowl seven times and winning a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers.
