Nikita Bedrin of Jenzer Motorsport celebrated his third-place finish on the podium at the FIA Formula 3 Championship in Budapest, Hungary on July 22, 2023. PHM Racing has finalized its roster for the upcoming 2024 Formula 3 season by signing Bedrin. This will be Bedrin’s second season in the third tier, as he made his debut with Jenzer Motorsport last year, where he achieved two podium finishes. The 18-year-old secured a third-place finish in the Sprint race at the Hungarian Grand Prix and followed it up with another third place in the Feature race at Spa-Francorchamps. Bedrin has previously raced with PHM in the Formula 4 UAE, ADAC F4, and Italian F4 Championships in 2022, winning three races. He also competed with PHM in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship last season, where he clinched two victories. Bedrin expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating that it came as a surprise and that he is prepared to put in the hard work. He thanked PHM and AIX for making it possible and stated that he is ready to give his all. PHM Racing Sporting Director Roland Rehfeld welcomed Bedrin back to the team and praised his speed and talent. Rehfeld mentioned that Bedrin has grown both on and off the track and convinced the team to give him another chance after a challenging first season in 2023. Despite facing some bad luck, Bedrin showcased his potential with two podium finishes in difficult conditions in F3 last season. Rehfeld expressed confidence in the driver lineup, which includes Bedrin, his former FRMEC teammate Joshua Dufek, and Tasanapol, and believes that the team’s efforts during the winter break will lead to consistent competition for points and podium finishes.
