WFAN’s “Boomer and Gio Show” experienced a remarkable blunder during Tuesday’s episode. Something seemed incredibly amiss to co-hosts Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti as they conversed live with producer Al Dukes. The team discussed an upcoming interview with Randy Moss to delve into the NFL during Super Bowl Week. Boomer and Gio swiftly became skeptical of the upcoming guest when Dukes mentioned Randy’s specific desire to discuss horses. Why would a football legend be interested in talking about horses…? “Are you certain that this is the correct [Randy Moss], and not the other Randy Moss?” Esiason inquired of Dukes. “Is there another one?” Dukes skeptically replied. The producer could hardly believe the absurd mix-up. As it turns out, Dukes had invited the wrong individual, mistakenly reaching out to NBC horse racing analyst (and former NFL Network employee) Randy Moss to discuss football on the show. The NFL legend Randy Moss bears no resemblance to the horse enthusiast. The ‘Boomer and Gio’ team burst into laughter as the apparent error continued to unravel before the live audience. “I was thinking, there’s no way Randy Moss was coming here,” Esiason remarked. Boomer playfully teased Dukes, eagerly anticipating the producer’s reluctant phone call with the ‘fake’ Randy Moss to cancel the interview. In defense of the producer’s blunder, it’s certainly not the first time someone has confused their Randys.
