Denver Broncos Quarterback Russell Wilson Takes First Steps to Sell Colorado Mansion
In a move that could signal his departure from the Denver Broncos, quarterback Russell Wilson has begun the process of selling his house in Cherry Hills, Colorado. This news comes amid uncertainty surrounding the team’s plans for the nine-time Pro Bowler.
According to reports, Wilson and his wife, singer-songwriter Ciara, are accepting offers and giving tours to potential buyers for their mansion in Cherry Hills Village. The couple purchased the home for $25 million in April 2022, shortly after Wilson was traded to the Broncos from the Seattle Seahawks. This purchase set a record for the most expensive home sale in the Denver area, surpassing the previous record of $16 million.
The luxurious property boasts a 20,000-square-foot home with four bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, his-and-hers walk-in closets, offices, and bathroom suites. Additionally, there is a 2,590-square-foot indoor swimming pool, a basketball court, and a guest apartment with its own kitchen.
Despite the potential sale of their home, Wilson has expressed his desire to return to Denver for the upcoming season. He even shared his favorite play from this past season on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Broncos general manager George Paton and head coach Sean Payton have also indicated that they are open to Wilson’s return. However, there is a growing belief among NFL insiders that Wilson’s departure from the team is inevitable.
The Broncos have stated that a formal decision on Wilson’s future will be made “sooner rather than later.” Many in the league speculate that this decision will likely result in the Broncos releasing Wilson.
The timing of Wilson’s decision to sell his house could be a sign that the expected decision is imminent. The Broncos have an incentive to make a decision soon, as Wilson’s $37 million salary for 2025 becomes guaranteed on March 17.
Neither Wilson nor Ciara have commented on the situation at this time.

Russell Wilson, the American football quarterback, has been the subject of much speculation regarding his next destination. One popular potential landing spot is the Atlanta Falcons, who are in need of a quarterback. The added bonus is that Ciara, Wilson’s wife, is from Atlanta.
Another leading potential landing spot for Wilson is the Pittsburgh Steelers. They also have a need for a quarterback and former NFL quarterback-turned-analyst Brady Quinn believes that playing under Head Coach Mike Tomlin could be the key to revitalizing Wilson’s career.
Quinn expressed his thoughts on the “Pick Six Podcast” on February 14, stating, “If I’m Russell Wilson, I’m like dude put me on that team. They’ve got weapons on the outside, the offensive line’s improved, they have a good defense. And I think you put him in there with Mike Tomlin… it’s a winning formula for you if you’re looking to revamp your career.”
