Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson is wasting no time getting back to work after the Super Bowl. The Browns quarterback, who played in just six games last season due to shoulder injuries, has been rehabbing and training in Los Angeles. Watson recently shared a progress update on his “QB Unplugged” show, stating that he is on track for a successful return to the field.
The Browns are hopeful that Watson’s return will boost their chances of competing next season. Despite a rocky start to his career in Cleveland, the team’s general manager, Andrew Berry, remains confident in Watson’s ability to lead the team. Berry emphasized the importance of keeping Watson healthy and expressed excitement for what he can bring to the Browns.
In his first two seasons with the Browns, Watson has faced setbacks including a suspension and injuries. However, he has shown promise on the field, throwing for 2,217 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. As he continues to work towards his comeback, Watson’s focus remains on improving and helping his team succeed.

In a major shakeup, the Cleveland Browns have made changes to their offensive coaching staff. Following a Wild Card loss to the Houston Texans, offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt was let go. Additionally, the team decided to part ways with several assistant coaches on the offensive side of the ball.
To fill the void left by Van Pelt, the Browns have hired Ken Dorsey as their new offensive coordinator. Dorsey brings with him experience working with dual-threat quarterbacks, having previously worked with Cam Newton and Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen. Dorsey is confident that Deshaun Watson has the potential to become one of the league’s top quarterbacks.
“I’m thrilled to be working with this offense, especially Deshaun, who is already one of the top quarterbacks in the league,” Dorsey expressed. “This season presents a great opportunity for him to prove that he truly is an elite quarterback who can lead us to victory.”
Watson was pleased to hear Dorsey’s comments and shared his reaction on his show, “QB Unplugged.”
“I listened to his press conference, and it was great to hear him talk about making me one of the top quarterbacks,” Watson shared. “Dorsey was the quarterback coach for Cam Newton when he won the MVP and led his team to the Super Bowl. And we all know what Josh Allen has been doing in Buffalo. He’s been a top contender for the MVP title. I’m really excited to get to Cleveland, dive into the playbook, and learn from Dorsey.”
