Charles Barkley made a comical remark about the corrupt city of San Francisco during a conversation with Reggie Miller and Golden State’s Draymond Green on Sunday night. This occurred during the NBA All-Star Game, which was being played in the background. Barkley specifically highlighted San Fran’s significant issue with homelessness as they discussed the upcoming 2025 NBA All-Star Game, scheduled to be held at Chase Center in the Bay Area.
Barkley humorously asked Reggie Miller if he had ever experienced the cold weather while being surrounded by the homeless individuals in San Francisco, referring to them as “crooks.” He further emphasized that residents of SF would need a bulletproof vest to survive in the city.
Candace Parker interjected, expressing her love for San Francisco, but Barkley immediately dismissed her statement, asserting that they did not share the same sentiment.
Despite being the highest-scoring All-Star Game in history, with the East team achieving a record-breaking 211 points, the lackluster performances of the players resulted in the audience’s indifference towards the game.
Charles Barkley, known for his straightforwardness, fearlessly makes honest observations that many in the media are unwilling to express. He fearlessly discusses the issues faced by liberal cities, such as high crime rates, which are often avoided by others.
Returning to the topic of San Francisco, the city demonstrated its ability to quickly address the homeless problem during a recent visit from Xi Jinping, the leader of the Chinese Communist Party. However, this action was merely a facade to create a positive image, as the city’s progressive governance allows for the persistence of third-world conditions, including homeless encampments and lawlessness, with minimal consequences.
Even Californians acknowledge San Francisco as a hub for criminal activities. The areas occupied by the homeless have transformed parts of the beloved Bay Area into scenes reminiscent of “The Walking Dead.” Charles Barkley has reached his limit with these deplorable conditions plaguing the city, and he is not alone in his sentiments.
