Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was noticeably absent from Super Bowl Opening Night. While his absence fueled speculation, it appears that he may be at the hospital awaiting the arrival of his second child. Sneed already has a 6-year-old son from a previous relationship.
On January 27, Sneed’s girlfriend, Bella Wu, shared pregnancy photos featuring Sneed. She expressed her love and captioned the album with a Bible verse. Sneed commented on the post, showing his support. Wu had previously announced their pregnancy back in October.
Sneed has been a key player for the Kansas City Chiefs since being drafted in 2020. He helped the team win a Super Bowl in his rookie season and has been a force on defense. While his stats may not fully reflect his impact, Sneed’s performance on the field has been impressive.
In fact, Sneed’s shutdown of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs in the Divisional round was so impressive that he was randomly drug tested after the game. However, this could potentially be Sneed’s final season with the Chiefs. Due to financial constraints, the team may not be able to afford his expected four-year, $65 million contract.
As the Chiefs have multiple pending free agents, not everyone can stay with the team. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Sneed and his football career.
ALLEGANT STADIUM ERUPTS AS 49ERS FANS OUTNUMBER CHIEFS SUPPORTERS
In a surprising turn of events, the crowd at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas showed overwhelming support for the San Francisco 49ers during a recent event. As Kansas City Chiefs players, Chris Jones and Travis Kelce, took the stage, they were met with a barrage of heavy boos. It seems that the 49ers’ fanbase has infiltrated the city of Las Vegas, making their presence known in a big way.
For the Chiefs, however, this is nothing new. Having triumphed over the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens on the road to secure their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years, they are no strangers to hostile environments. The deafening boos from the crowd will not faze this resilient team.
When questioned about the Chiefs’ newfound status as Super Bowl villains, Jones didn’t hesitate to embrace the label. In an interview with SI, he confidently stated, “Absolutely. For some reason, everybody used to love us. We used to be one of the most favorite teams. And now everybody’s like, ‘We’re ready for the Chiefs to lose.’ I don’t know why what changed, what dramatic incidents happened to where everybody felt like we should lose now, but that’s okay. They can continue hating.”
As the excitement builds leading up to the Super Bowl, it is clear that the Chiefs have become a polarizing team. Once beloved by many, they now face a wave of animosity from fans across the league. Will this newfound villain status fuel their determination to prove the doubters wrong? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more NFL updates.
