Colin Cowherd expressed a completely unrealistic opinion about Jim Harbaugh’s chances in a physical altercation with NFL coaches.
After leaving Michigan, Harbaugh took on the role of head coach for the Chargers, and there is high anticipation for the success of Justin Herbert and the team in Los Angeles.
Will Harbaugh live up to the lofty expectations? Only time will tell. However, if we were to imagine a brawl during March Madness, Cowherd believes Harbaugh would hold his own.
Cowherd shared his thoughts with his audience, stating, “If you asked me who the toughest four football coaches in the NFL would be in a fight, I would say Mike Tomlin, Dan Campbell, [Mike] Vrabel, and Jim Harbaugh.”
This is not a joke. Cowherd genuinely believes that Jim Harbaugh, a 60-year-old man, would rank among the top four fighters in the NFL. Watch his complete comments and share your reactions with me at David.Hookstead@I hate to burst Colin Cowherd’s bubble, but he is completely delusional if he thinks Jim Harbaugh could hold his own in a fight against other coaches in the league.
Cowherd is correct about Dan Campbell and Mike Vrabel being tough contenders. Tomlin is also amusing, but including Harbaugh on that list is downright hilarious.
Harbaugh is 60 years old and has a physique similar to mine. That is not a compliment. Dan Campbell looks like he could step onto the field today if he wanted to. Harbaugh, on the other hand, would likely snap in half if he took a hit.

The most amusing oversight in Cowherd’s list is DeMeco Ryans. The head coach of the Texans is not even 40 yet and had an impressive career as a player.
Just like Campbell, Ryans appears capable of playing right now if he desired. Yet, Cowherd seems to believe that Jim Harbaugh would triumph in an all-out brawl.
That fight would end within seconds.

Fighting takes an incredible toll on the body. Just look at the damage and recovery that UFC stars endure. Now, imagine if they were 60 years old. While we all find Jim Harbaugh entertaining, he wouldn’t last long in a fight against younger coaches. The top two spots among active coaches (Vrabel needs a job) go to Dan Campbell and DeMeco Ryans. I would probably place Robert Saleh in the third spot after those two. Jim Harbaugh wouldn’t even come close to the top. He may be gritty, but Cowherd’s scenario would not play out well in reality.
