Thiem has been struggling recently. Even in 2024, he was eliminated in the first round of both tournaments he participated in.
Firstly, he was defeated by an opponent in the Brisbane International. Then, at the subsequent tournament, he faced an early exit at the hands of another player.
Even at the UTS, he did not perform as well as he had hoped. The Austrian player will now take a break before returning to the court for the clay season at the upcoming tournament.
