Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Tim Lewis has landed a new job opportunity. Boston College is expected to hire Lewis as their new defensive coordinator. Lewis has an extensive background in coaching, having worked for six different franchises in the NFL. He previously served as the Steelers’ defensive coordinator from 2000-2003 and the Giants’ defensive coordinator from 2004-2006.
Lewis has a long history with the Steelers, having spent nine years as a defensive assistant before becoming the defensive coordinator. Prior to his time with the Steelers, he was the defensive backs coach at Pitt for two seasons. After his tenure in the NFL, Lewis continued coaching at various levels, including high school, and in leagues such as the AAF, XFL, and UFL.
This new opportunity at Boston College marks a significant step in Lewis’ coaching career.
