According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain still holds an interest in Manchester City’s attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva. This comes after both PSG and Barcelona showed interest in him during the previous summer transfer window. Silva has been a key player for Man City and it wouldn’t be surprising if the club made efforts to keep him for as long as possible.
However, with Kylian Mbappe’s impending departure from PSG on a free transfer at the end of the season, it is expected that there will be significant changes at the French club. Silva, being a prominent name, could be the perfect signing to initiate a new era at the Parc des Princes.
“PSG is now preparing for a future without Mbappe, but the exact plans are still uncertain. There will undoubtedly be numerous rumors and connections with high-profile players,” stated the transfer news expert.
Bernardo Silva of Manchester City has frequently been linked with PSG, and it’s understandable given his exceptional skills. Both PSG and Barcelona expressed interest in Silva last summer. However, Man City ultimately offered him a new contract, recognizing his importance to Pep Guardiola’s team.
“As mentioned in my previous report, PSG has not yet finalized their top targets for the summer. While Bernardo Silva is still valued, it’s too early to determine whether PSG will aggressively pursue the Portuguese playmaker again or if their priorities will shift,” Romano added.
