Finn Balor has no regrets for his and Judgment Day’s attack on R-Truth.
In this week’s episode of Raw, R-Truth and Finn Balor faced each other in a singles match. Despite knowing the consequences that awaited him, R-Truth still went ahead with the match. Although R-Truth emerged victorious, he was met with a post-match assault by the members of Judgment Day. What surprised the WWE Universe was that Finn Balor was the one who initiated the attack, even though he had shown signs of welcoming R-Truth into the faction just a week before.
After the beatdown on R-Truth, Finn Balor took to social media to send a message. He used three words that conveyed a completely different sentiment compared to R-Truth’s “Live, Laugh, and Love.” It is evident that Balor took pleasure in defeating R-Truth on Raw. Despite the lack of interaction between the former Universal Champion and the former 24/7 Champion, The Demon surprisingly commended the beatdown.
Initially, there was speculation about R-Truth joining Judgment Day, but recent events have indicated otherwise. Following continuous beatdowns and humiliations from the faction, the doors have been closed for R-Truth. Just when all hope seemed lost, #DIY came to the rescue of the loyal fan on Raw.
Fans were hoping to see Finn Balor somehow come to R-Truth’s aid. With The Miz consistently involved in the feud, it appears that WWE is building towards a major showdown at the biggest event of the year. Therefore, it is likely that Judgment Day will face the recently reunited Awesome Truth for the Tag Team Championships.
For a while, The Bloodline was the most talked-about faction until last year. However, with the departure of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, the faction lost its momentum. With the current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, being a part-time competitor, Finn Balor and R-Truth were left to carry the weight of the group. As The Bloodline’s storyline began to lose steam, Judgment Day gradually became the most dominant faction in WWE.
Recently, The Rock made his return to WWE and is expected to stay longer than initially anticipated. Although The Rock was originally slated to face Roman Reigns, the two cousins have now joined forces. The Great One has turned heel and is set to return alongside The Tribal Chief on SmackDown. With the buzz and anticipation surrounding the revitalized Bloodline, it seems they are reclaiming their position at the top.
With two of the biggest stars from different eras now united in a single faction, The Bloodline is making a comeback to assert their dominance. As a result, the attention of the WWE Universe has shifted from Judgment Day to this real-life faction. Undoubtedly, it will be intriguing to witness whether these two formidable factions collide on the Road to WrestleMania.
