We are still in the early stages of the 2024 NFL off-season, and there is anticipation of a quarterback rotation happening throughout the league. Players like Kirk Cousins and Justin Fields have a strong likelihood of finding themselves in new team environments next season, especially considering the unstable quarterback situations in many NFC teams.
According to a report, Russell Wilson is expected to become the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers next season, as stated by Chad Johnson.
“I’ve heard from a reliable source, and I mentioned this on previous shows, that Russell Wilson will be joining the Steelers.”

However, there are several AFC teams that will be searching for a new quarterback this spring, and the Pittsburgh Steelers could be one of the major contenders.
In their quest to upgrade from Kenny Pickett, the Steelers have already been linked to Fields. It was reported before the Super Bowl that head coach Mike Tomlin is a supporter of the Chicago QB, and it is believed that Pittsburgh will be involved in negotiations with the Bears leading up to the draft.
But there is another well-known quarterback who will likely be seeking a new team, and a former NFL player claims to have exclusive information on where Russell Wilson might end up.

The Steelers organization is internally discussing the possibility of trading for Justin Fields or signing Russell Wilson.
They are not satisfied with going into next season with only Rudolph and Pickett.

During an episode of The Nightcap Podcast with co-host Shannon Sharpe, Chad Johnson stated that he believes there is already some sort of agreement in place.
His source? A reliable informant.
“Now we need to focus on the Steelers. I’ve heard from a reliable source, and I mentioned this on previous shows, that Russell Wilson will be joining the Steelers.”
Wilson did not succeed in maintaining his high level of performance during his two seasons with the Denver Broncos. The first year under Nathanial Hackett was chaotic, and although the addition of Sean Payton slightly improved the situation from a quarterback perspective, Wilson fell out of favor with the team and was eventually benched and sent home for the last few games of the 2023 regular season.
There have been discussions about a potential reconciliation between Wilson and the Broncos, but all indications point to a separation. Wilson has currently put his mansion in Denver up for sale, and it is widely expected that the team will release him before free agency begins.
During the same episode of the podcast, Johnson also expressed his belief that Fields will end up playing for his hometown Atlanta Falcons.
