Fans were amazed to witness spectators watching a game while seated inside a vehicle parked on the court.

During the Delray Beach Open, an American tennis star’s second-round match against Radu Albot featured a unique “prime spot” as a couple was assigned to sit inside a parked car near the court. Although this arrangement was solely for sponsorship purposes, fans expressed their disapproval. They criticized the organizers for such a dreadful concept.
One user also highlighted the discomfort associated with these “prime seats.” They argued that it was disrespectful to the fans, as they were expected to occupy a stationary car on a tennis court.
I cannot think of a more American (disrespectful), dystopian tennis experience than observing a match from the confines of a BMW car parked in one corner of the court lol pic.twitter.com/s8xJbb4tzk
Other fans concurred, deeming it an awful idea. They sarcastically mocked the organizers, claiming that such occurrences only happen in America. Take a look at the various reactions below.
This tournament is reminiscent of a Florida man in the tennis world 😭
The individual who made his girlfriend sit in the passenger seat worsened the situation 😭
These seats make Delray the most enjoyable experience on the tour 😆
The tournament is fantastic. However, the sponsorship idea is foolish! Next: hang banners across the net!
.Only in America… I hope! 😕 I cannot imagine this happening on the grass courts of Wimbledon. 🤦♂️ And please, please do not give the Australian Open any ideas! 😱
This is terrible and bizarre 😒
It’s absurd.
We need Medvedev to play a match on this court https://t.co/qRZ7hy3mE8
Americans are so accustomed to cars that sitting in traffic to watch a tennis match is now considered an experience! https://t.co/EufikvD6gT
This person wouldn’t be able to handle South Asian cricket https://t.co/4w2uyjxskj
Imagine paying to feel like you’re stuck in rush hour traffic. https://t.co/nZmuxelToF
This is astonishing and cringe-worthy. An actual car on the court WITH SOMEONE INSIDE during the match https://t.co/dcW4ZsRUuF
This is the epitome of America https://t.co/eZknLAyMF1
While the organizers faced backlash and criticism for their promotional choice, Frances Tiafoe managed to win over the audience with his performance. The American has advanced to the semifinals of the ATP 250 tournament and is on the verge of clinching his first title of the season.
Tiafoe defeated Radu Albot in straight sets, although he had to battle it out in the tiebreaker. Nonetheless, he emerged victorious against the Moldovan tennis player. In his second match, the quarterfinals, Tiafoe triumphed over Flavio Cobolli with a score of 6-4, 6-2.
The American ace won 23 out of 29 first-serve points and displayed unwavering strength from the baseline, securing consecutive victories for the first time since last year’s Vienna tournament. Tiafoe’s 68-minute triumph also put an end to his five-match losing streak in tour-level quarterfinals.
Tiafoe will now face Tommy Paul in the semifinals. It remains to be seen whether Tiafoe can claim his first title of the season or if he will have to wait longer.
