The NTT IndyCar Series and Parkside Collectibles have entered into a three-year agreement to create a collection of trading cards. This marks IndyCar’s return to the popular world of collectible trading cards after many years.
This move comes after Chip Ganassi Racing reintroduced IndyCar-themed trading cards at the start of the 2023 season. In collaboration with their sponsor, The American Legion, proceeds from the cards were donated to support the Legion’s Be The One campaign, which aims to prevent suicide among military veterans. Each pack of cards was sold for $10, with Ganassi donating the full amount to the Legion and covering the shipping costs. Starting from March 1, fans will have the opportunity to purchase the new series of card packs for the same price of $10.
“We are excited to establish this new partnership with Parkside, which will reintroduce a collection of IndyCar sports cards and provide fans with an interactive way to engage with the rising stars of our sport,” stated Mark Miles, CEO of Penske Entertainment.
“Sports cards have always been a captivating means of connecting with athletes, and it is gratifying to see that the exceptional, daring, and confident personalities of IndyCar will once again be represented through Parkside’s high-quality collectibles.”
Throughout the season, IndyCar fans can anticipate a variety of online and in-person activities that will fuel their passion for IndyCar racing. During race weekends, attendees can look forward to exclusive in-person experiences and the chance to win limited-edition trading card sets. Additionally, online communities will be buzzing with exciting social media contests and giveaways, offering fans the opportunity to win Parkside and IndyCar prizes.
IndyCar has announced that the trading cards will be available for purchase at the races, in retail card stores, and on Parksidecards.com.
