Jameis Winston is a huge admirer of New Orleans and the festivities of Mardi Gras.
The quarterback for the New Orleans Saints recently completed a one-year contract with the team and is now heading into free agency. However, it appears highly likely that he will return to the Saints for one simple reason:
He has an insatiable love for New Orleans and couldn’t care less who knows it.
During his now-famous interview with WDSU during Mardi Gras, Winston expressed his deep appreciation for the unique culture and love that the city embodies.
Not only was he incredibly excited to partake in the Mardi Gras celebrations and embrace New Orleans, but he also made it clear that he would gladly take a photo with anyone who asked. It was a truly classy gesture.

Who would have thought that a simple interview during Mardi Gras could serve as a free promotional campaign for the city? You can’t fake that kind of genuine joy and happiness.
You either have it or you don’t, and Jameis Winston clearly has an overwhelming love for New Orleans.

It’s been more than 15 years since I last visited New Orleans, but there’s no doubt that it’s an incredible city. The history, cuisine, nightlife, and culture are all fantastic. Now, is the food particularly healthy? No, but indulging for a weekend won’t do much harm. At the very least, we now know that the Saints quarterback adores every aspect of the city.
