Former professional golfer Johnny DelPrete and LPGA pro Jessica Korda have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Greyson John DelPrete. The couple shared the exciting news this week, announcing that their son was born on Saturday. Korda had previously announced her pregnancy in August with a cute sign that read “Tee Time for 3,” receiving congratulations from fellow LPGA Tour golfer Danielle Kang and Anna Nordqvist. Greyson’s arrival comes just a week after Korda’s sister Nelly won her ninth LPGA title.
Korda, who is 30 years old, has been off the tour since last May due to a back injury. She has six career wins, most recently at the 2021 Tournament of Champions. During her time away from golf, Korda said she looked forward to embracing motherhood. DelPrete, a former professional golfer turned real estate agent, has been in a relationship with Korda since 2013. The couple got married in December 2021 and DelPrete currently works for Nest Seekers.
While Korda shares updates about her golf career and personal life on Instagram, DelPrete maintains a low profile on social media. He briefly made headlines in 2019 when he was arrested as part of a sex trafficking investigation but was released on bail. Despite their differing approaches to sharing their lives online, the couple is excited to embark on this new chapter as parents. Korda’s Instagram has already provided a glimpse of Greyson’s sweet nursery earlier this year.
With the arrival of Greyson, the Korda family continues to grow. While Korda’s comeback plans to the LPGA Tour are currently unknown as she focuses on motherhood, fans send their congratulations to her and Johnny on their expanding family.
