Well, it’s not us who require boundaries or need to be instructed on when to stop flaunting. However, some famous individuals may struggle in that regard, as evidenced by the current wave of criticism aimed at reality TV star, businesswoman, and car enthusiast Khloe Kardashian after she showcased a new vehicle on her social media platform.
Khloe Kardashian, much like the entire Kardashian-Jenner family, is among the most high-profile celebrities who own cars. While they may not be true collectors in the traditional sense, they do have a penchant for amassing a collection of impressive, shiny, and customized vehicles. It should be acknowledged that they do drive these cars within their extensive garages, but more often than not, they serve as props for their Instagram validation.
Over the weekend, Khloe engaged in a playful act where she overlaid a video of herself stepping out of a brand-new Lamborghini Urus with the line “Daddy, I want another pony” from the 2005 film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This line is spoken by the spoiled character Veruca Salt, who literally demands another pony.
With this post, Khloe is informing her 310+ million followers that she desires another car. And she’s doing so with a Lamborghini Urus customized by Mansory, a company the family has collaborated with on multiple occasions, including Khloe. Many of her followers believe that Khloe’s not-so-subtle message is that she is wealthy while the rest of the world is not, and she is facing criticism for it.
Interestingly, the Urus does not actually belong to Khloe. Nor was she in the Mansory shop with the intention of purchasing it. Her sister Kylie Jenner chimed in the comments, asking, “Wait, isn’t that my car?” Eventually, Khloe admitted that she needed a “prop” to complement her outfit. Sharing is caring, even among millionaires.
The main point here is that Kylie is the one who actually acquired a new vehicle, and she hasn’t even boasted about it on social media, which is unusual for the family. It appears that Kylie’s Urus is equipped with the Mansory “Venatus EVO S” widebody kit, albeit without the contrasting colors for the exterior and interior – a wise decision indeed.
This means that Kylie’s new Urus boasts enhanced power and performance and is a limited edition, one-of-ten model. Given her previous acquisitions, this is not particularly surprising. What is surprising is that Khloe did not simply choose a car from her own garage, which is also filled with cars. However, it should be noted that those cars are not new.
