Leeds United are said to be ready to present Daniel Farke with a new agreement if the German can lead the Whites back to the Premier League.
After being demoted to the Championship last season, Farke, aged 47, who signed a four-year contract in July, was given the task of returning the Yorkshire giants to the top flight of English football.
Despite a difficult start at Elland Road, winning just one of their first four league matches, the former Norwich City manager was able to quickly turn things around.
Not only have the Whites progressed to the FA Cup Fifth Round, where they will face Chelsea, but they now occupy a position in the Championship’s automatic promotion play-off spots after winning all of their last seven league games.
According to a recent report from Football Insider, if Farke continues in the same manner and secures promotion at the end of the season, he will be offered a new contract and a significant increase in salary, even though he still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal – a strong incentive to end the season on a high note.
Since taking charge seven months ago, Farke, born in Buren-Steinhausen, has averaged 2.05 points per game, placing him comfortably among the best-performing managers in England.
