Customers have the choice of selecting the Air Pure Stealth with either the Aluminum Roof or Glass Canopy from the Appearance menu. Another option, which is included in the standard price, is the Platinum with the Aluminum Roof.
However, for an additional $1,750 on top of the price of the entry-level Air Pure, which is $69,900, customers can opt for the Stealth. This means that for a total of $71,650, customers can drive home a car with various darkened elements on the exterior.
The Pure Stealth replaces all the chrome elements with a black finish. This includes the base of the C-pillars, the side mirror cases, and the horizontal strip above the headlights that supports the “Lucid” lettering. This upgrade is available regardless of the chosen exterior color.
There are six exterior color options available. The Stellar White metallic and Infinite Black Metallic are free of charge, while the Cosmos Silver, Quantum Grey, Zenith Red, and Fathom Blue cost an additional $800.
The Stealth package also includes 20-inch Aero Lite Stealth wheels with a black matte finish, replacing the standard 19-inch Aero Range units. These wheels are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. However, the larger wheels slightly reduce the EPA-estimated range from 419 miles to 394 miles, provided by the 88-kWh battery pack.
Powering the car is a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers 430 horsepower to the rear wheels. The Lucid Air Pure can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
The price of the car equipped with the Stealth package includes the Lucid Care program, which is available for the first two years or for 24,000 miles.
The Stealth Appearance option is available for all the trims in the Air lineup: Air Pure, Air Touring, Air Grand Touring, and Air Sapphire. It is expected to be available in the Gravity range in the future. However, the range-topping Sapphire trim is the only one that includes the Stealth Appearance option for free.
The fully equipped Air Sapphire is priced at $249,000, which is more than three times the price of the entry-level version and twice the price of the Tesla Model S Plaid, its main competitor in the market.
The Sapphire boasts 1,234 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.89 seconds, with a top speed of 205 mph. On the other hand, the Model S Plaid offers 1,020 horsepower and can achieve 0 to 60 mph in 1.99 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 200 mph.
